Our background.
The organization was started based on a story born about 32 years ago in 1991, when a young man – Mohamed Jama Mohamed, traveled to Isiolo Hospital in Kenya from Somalia for treatment, having 35% burns from gasoline explosives on February 1st, 1991, during the Somalia civil war. Mohamed met a kind-hearted nurse in Isiolo Hospital, Ms. Florence Lintari, who took good care of him until he recovered. After recovery, Mohamed, through UNHCR, went to the USA as a refugee. He changed his career from an Agricultural Officer to a medical professional and became an operating theatre nurse from the inspiration he had received from Ms. Florence Lintari. Because of this experience, Mohamed started HEPTO on May 18th, 2018, in the State of Minnesota The United States of America, to give back to the community.
Hepto as organization with its offices in Eastern African region, history and experience in Africa’s Health Cares Services, we constantly interact, identify the needs.
Constantly we organize for trainings of medical on the best practices, new equipment on how to use and repair and the non medical staff on first aid services.
Organizing for free medical camps, treating the poor and the needy while providing food, bus fare and accommodation for those traveling from far places.
Our partnership programme involves different stakeholders leaving no one behind. We mostly rely on advises from partners, Governments, Hospitals, Non-Governmental entities.
